Up for sales is a PIONEER AVIC-505 Voice Interface Vehicle Navigation Unit/GPS Receiver which comes as pictured in the actual photos and includes the NAVTECH SOUTHEAST Map Data CD 9 SDAL Format v.1.7 1999.2.  This GPS unit was pulled from a vehicle which had been totaled in a car accident, and was from a working environment prior to the accident.  The Map Data CD is inside, which alone is worth what I am asking for the whole unit.  U.S. bidders welcome and payments accepted through PAYPAL.  Shipping and handling within the U.S. will be FREE.  Good luck.

Porsche 911 (991)

Thu, 18 Aug 2011

The release of a new generation of the Porsche 911 is always a major motoring event and the launch of the latest – the 991, which will make its debut in Frankfurt next month – appears to be the most significant since the icon switched to water cooling with the 996 in 1998. While quite obviously an evolution of the 997 and every version prior, the 991 is longer (+56mm), wider (+65mm) and lower (-11mm) than its predecessor, while the wheelbase has been extended in order to increase rear leg room and move the model further into the GT segment. Its front lamp graphics offer a visual link to the 918 concept car and sit above a set of angular DRL/turn signal units and enlarged lower mask intakes.

Subaru has today confirmed it is bringing the US-spec four-door Impreza saloon bodystyle back to the UK. In news that will hearten Scooby fans, Subaru will again offer a sedan bodystyle alongside the five-door hatchback. Why is the bodystyle so important?

Vauxhall Adam: Prices & on sale at Paris 2012

Tue, 14 Aug 2012

The new Vauxhall Adam (and its European sibling, the Opel Adam) have their debut at the Paris Motor Show when the order book opens. We’re still not entirely convinced that the Vauxhall Adam has enough individuality to be a star in the marketplace, but it looks a decent offering nonetheless. Its styling is distinctly generic – it looks like a mish-mash of ideas from successful competitors – but Vauxhall is promising much for the Adam with extreme levels of customisation and lots of high-end toys, even if many will be cost options.
