Vauxhall Insignia Sports Tourer (2009): first pictures
Thu, 14 Aug 2008By Ben Pulman First Official Pictures 14 August 2008 11:06 These are the first pictures of Vauxhall’s third Insignia model, the estate. But estates are boring and dull, so Vauxhall has dubbed this the Sports Tourer, not to be confused with Renault’s Sport Tourer. Michael Schumacher vs the Nurburgring rollercoaster
Fri, 17 Jul 2009Michael Schumacher vs the Nurburgring rollercoaster By Ben Barry First Official Pictures 17 July 2009 13:03 Michael Schumacher still holds the Nürburgring GP circuit’s lap record (1:29.468 back in 2004), but he’s never left the startline faster than he did last weekend – when he was strapped into the world’s fastest rollercoaster, subjected to 4.5g at launch and accelerated up to 135mph along 1212m of track. The rollercoaster – originally planned to open in Easter 2009 as part of a €215 million expansion plan – finally got the champers treatment at the German GP, and runs right next to the race track’s start/finish straight before spearing off into a number of tortuous twists and turns. How did the ’Ring people manage to get the former F1 world champ on board?
Meet the new Mercedes-Benz SL400
Mon, 07 Apr 2014This is our first photo of the upcoming Mercedes-Benz SL400 luxury roadster, a model that effectively replaces the SL350 as part of a series of subtle changes brought to the SL lineup. The move aims to goose sales of the luxury roadster two years after it first hit showrooms. The SL400 is powered by Mercedes-Benz's twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 direct-injection gasoline engine unveiled in the E400 early last year.
