Petrol sales at record low in March

PLUNGING PRICES at the pumps failed to prevent petrol sales dipping to their lowest figure on record in late winter this year. UK drivers bought 1.367 billion litres of petrol in March 2014, according to Government figures highlighted by the AA. This was the lowest recorded figure, with the previous low point being March 2013 - the coldest March for 50 years - when sales only reached 1.376 billion litres.

Seat Leon ST wins five-star safety rating

SEAT'S SPACIOUS Leon ST has been awarded a five-star safety rating by car safety assessment body Euro NCAP. The estate version of the already-popular Leon goes on sale in the UK in October for January 2014 first deliveries. The rating is the result of exceptional scores in all areas of the industry-standard Euro NCAP test, but particularly the adult occupant safety and child occupant safety sections, for which the Leon ST scored 94% and 92% respectively.

Audi breaks the 1,000,000 car sales barrier in 2008 [ad#ad-1] Audi has really made an impression on the car market in the last decade. From the old Auto Union days (which was created by amalgamating the car makers Horch, Audi, DKW and Wanderer), it is now part of the German luxury car triumvirate – BMW, Mercedes and Audi – and considered to be the equal of the others.
