New Aston Martin DBS on the shores of Lake Como at Villa D’Este The new Aston Martin DBS – codenamed AM 310 – has arrived for its first public outing at Villa D’Este. Just as we exclusively revealed earlier this week, the new Aston Martin DBS has made its public debut this morning at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, and our friends from Autoblog Netherlands were there to catch it in the flesh. The new DBS is said to be 75 per cent new, and in terms of crossover parts directly from the DBS it is.

GM ride-and-drive event puts interns behind the wheel

Interns here at AutoWeek are fortunate enough to be in and out of all sorts of cars, from the little Fiat 500 to the phenomenal Lexus LFA. But rarely do we get our own event like the Intern Ride and Drive hosted by General Motors in downtown Detroit on Friday. The event, set up and run by GM's own interns, involved summer help from local broadcast-media outlets, newspapers and many Detroit-area automotive publications.

2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee facelift revealed

Chrysler has rolled out a facelift for the 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the usual cosmetic tweaks, better interior and new 8-speed auto ‘box. Jeep has worked hard to make the latest Grand Cherokee a much more appealing road car than before, with car-like on-road manners despite still having Land Rover levels of off-road ability. The only real criticisms we can level at the current Grand Cherokee (which, coincidently  we have in for review this week) is some cheap trim on the inside, a blobby infotainment system and an old-school, five-speed auto ‘box that really has no place in a modern, premium SUV.
