Deliveries of the strictly limited 2500-unit production run will commence in September 2013, but the bad news is that invitation doesn't extend to mainstream UK buyers. That said, VW hints that it could bring in a handful to the UK if there's enough demand.

The CX-5 is the first production model to showcase the company's new design language, first seen on the Mazda's Shinari and Minagi concepts. But as we told you at the time, Peugeot UK wouldn’t market the Euro 308 GTi as a GTi because it’s “…not a GTi as we would know it”.
