BMW M5 Diesel Confirmed – the BMW M550d, perhaps?

We’ve been reporting on BMW’s triple-turbo diesel engine since we broke the news back in 2009 that BMW could be working on a triple turbo option for their 3.0 litre diesel, designed to create an ‘M Diesel’. And it now looks as though that will arrive as the BMW M550d – or a variation on that name – as soon as 2012.
Isuzu MU-X SUV revealed ahead of Tokyo motor show
Fri, 01 Nov 2013Just ahead of the Tokyo Motor Show later this month, Isuzu has shared more details on its upcoming MU-X SUV which was revealed in Bangkok days ago. Based on Isuzu D-Max pickup, the Isuzu was actually developed alongside the Australian-market Holden Colorado 7, sold elsewhere as the Chevrolet TrailBlazer. The seven-seat MU-X was designed in Thailand along with its Holden sibling, and its development route mirrored that of the first SUVs that started coming to the market in the mid-1980s -- taking a compact truck and adding a couple of doors and a hatch for the back.
Mercedes celebrates 60th anniversary of Unimog with new concept
Tue, 07 Jun 2011The Mercedes-Benz Special Trucks unit (MBS) revealed a design study celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Unimog at the Daimler plant in Wörth recently. The concept, called simply ‘60 Years Unimog', is said to inform the future form language of Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicle design. Combining of the past and future of the Unimog, the MBS development team, the Daimler commercial vehicle designers in Sindelfingen and a model designing partner have created an avant-garde vehicle that retains the inherent functionality and capabilities of the now iconic vehicle.
