Interestingly, Peugeot in Brazil has decided to bring what looks like the entire Wacky Races mob to life in a new advert to promote the Peugeot 208.

The North American International Auto Show kicks off this week. Tomorrow (Monday 11th January 2010) sees the opening day of the 2010 Detroit Motor Show (North American International Auto Show), the first major car show of the season, so we thought we ought to do a quick round-up of some of the cars you’re likely to see. Hyundai are planning to offer more dual clutch gearboxes in their cars rather than going the CVT route. There’s an argument that somehow CVT gearboxes offer better fuel economy than an automated dual clutch ‘box, even though logic says otherwise. Toyota insist on using a CVT ‘box on their hybrid cars when they’d feel much better to drive with an auto or dual clutch ‘box.
