Queen’s hat causes car problem in France
Mon, 02 Jun 2014Renault | AP The French president has a problem: it turns out none of the Citroen cars currently at his disposal are large enough to accommodate the Queen’s customary hats. So for Her Majesty’s state visit on 6 June, in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of D-Day, president Francois Hollande has ordered an old Renault out of retirement to make sure the Queen has the necessary headroom. On Bing: see pictures of the Queen’s cars60 years of Royal cars President Hollande is generally seen in a Citroen DS5, as this is the most prestigious French-made car currently available; alternatively he also has routine access to the slightly more limo-like Citroen C6.

Sat, 03 Mar 2012Peugeot keep interest in the 208 GTi with a promo video With the Peugeot 208 GTi due to debut at Geneva next week as a concept, Peugeot release the first promo video. There are high hopes for the new Peugeot 208 GTi, with Peugeot desperately hoping a performance halo for the 208 range will evoke memories of the terrific 205 GTi and filter down in to much bigger sales for more prosaic 208s. So to keep interest in the public debut of the 208 GTi next week, Peugeot has been busy cobbling together a promo video to show the new GTi blatting around – in and out of focus – so we don’t have chance to forget the 208 GTI is on its way.

However, the sheer scale and variety of vehicles on offer – crucially moving as well as static – is what makes the event, set within Lord March's huge country estate on England's south coast near Chichester, like no other in the world.
