Jaguar C-X17 Concept bringing SUV preview and new platform to Frankfurt
Mon, 02 Sep 2013The Jaguar C-X17 concept will preview one of the brand's upcoming pair of SUVs, as well as its new modular aluminum platform that will underpin its next generation of cars. The teaser picture accompanying the press release doesn't give a huge amount away in terms of aesthetics, but familiar Jag elements such as the fender haunches and F-Type-style rear lamps suggest this will be instantly recognizable as a Jaguar. Its emphasis will be more on road performance than off-road ability in order to ensure it drives as a Jaguar should and also to avoid stepping on the toes of sister company, Land Rover.

We understood Land Rover’s impetus – they thought there’d be a market for a drop-top Evoque – but it really was a step too far for Land Rover to go.
Jaguar XJ gets Sport Pack & Speed Pack options
Thu, 10 Nov 2011Jaguar XJ gets Sport Pack & Speed Pack options With the new Jaguar XJ settling in nicely, Jaguar feel it’s time to give the bold new Jag a bit of a sporting makeover with the addition of a Sport Pack and Speed Pack to the XJ’s options. Already perhaps the most intrinsically sporty luxury car on the road, the XJ already conspires to look more aggressive and sporty than any other offering in the sector. It also, even with the 3.0 litre diesel engine, has performance that matches its looks.
