Ford Focus Electric debut
Sat, 08 Jan 20112012 Ford Focus Electric - debuted at CES Las Vegas We expected Ford to debut the electric version of the new Focus at the Detroit Motor Show next week until they did the whole ‘Electric Focus Tease‘ thing last week. Which is probably as clear an indication as you need that the car’s place in the marketplace is becoming blurred with the push towards electric cars.
Chevrolet six-month global sales highest in a century
Thu, 21 Jul 2011Chevrolet saw 2.35 million global sales in the first six months of 2011--its best first-half mark in 100 years. The automaker credits the success of new small-car models for much of the growth, namely the Cruze compact, the Spark minicar, the Aveo/Sonic small car and the Orlando MPV. Chevrolet sales increased 14 percent in the United States from the same half-year period in 2010, with 286,499 more units sold.
Citroën DS Numéro 9 set to woo new Chinese bourgeoisie [w/video]
Fri, 13 Apr 2012The Citroën DS Numéro 9, which will make its debut at the Beijing auto show, marks a return of luxury French motoring – a segment the nation has shied away from in recent years. However while the desire for Gallic limos has all but died in their traditional heartlands, the demand for European luxe amongst the growing Chinese bourgeoisie – be it fashion, wine or cars – offers a new lifeline to the French curios we all love other people to own.
