New Polaris Ranger rear window and dust/wind barrier. Same model fits the full size RANGER 800 and the RANGER XP. I am certain that there are other wind barriers out there that are cheaper-none are built as well or will last as long as these will! Don't confuse this one with the cheap imports who use cheap plastic that will crack and yellow over time. It is made from 1680 Ballistic Nylon, 30 gauge marine vinyl and sewn with Bonded Poly T90 thread to minimize shrinkage, sun bleaching and provide you with years of carefree use. 1" webbing sewn at all critical stress points like; top, bottom and below and above the window seam (as shown). Installs in a couple minutes with eight buckles and four Velcro straps securing it to the Ranger rear roll bar and can be rolled up and out of the way when you choose to (as shown). May also be installed on most Rangers with extended roll cages with rear seats installed (as shown). Large window area, unlike some that restrict visibility. No need to remove while trailering. Some late model Rangers have a fresh air vent in the lower section between the seat and the bed. If you would like this barrier modified to enable that vent you will need to identify that need at time of payment. Otherwise your barrier will be shipped without the vent being cut into the barrier.

Algae-derived biodiesel blend hits San Francisco-area gas stations

Thu, 15 Nov 2012

Environmentally conscious drivers may have a new way of fueling up: a diesel fuel blend that consists of 20 percent algae-derived biofuel and 80 percent regular diesel arrived at four gas stations in the San Francisco Bay area earlier this week. According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the fuel retails for $4.25 per gallon—the same cost as conventional diesel in the region. B20 is billed as compatible with any diesel-powered vehicle.

Kia Optima T-Hybrid concept revealed ahead of Paris debut

Kia Optima T-Hybrid concept revealed ahead of Paris debut It looks like Kia is ready to push the start button on a new range of mild hybrids with the reveal of the Kia Optima T-Hybrid concept ahead of its debut later this week at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. The new mild hybrid powertrain isn’t going to make an enormous difference to power or economy, but in a world where taxation gets based on official CO2 figures it will make the Optima more appealing to company car buyers. The Optima hybrid gets the normal 1.7 litre diesel engine and adds a small electric motor powered by a 48V lead-carbon battery which will be enough for short running at low speeds on electric power alone or allow some electric ‘cruising’ on motorways.

Citroen to launch '3CV' plus DS3 cabrio, DS4 SUV, DS6

Mon, 24 Oct 2011

Citroen is working on a '3CV', a radical new entry-level model positioned between C1 and C3. Imagine the previous C2 pepped up by the glittery polish that's made the DS3 such a success, and you're not far off Citroen's new city car vision. Known inhouse as Citroen Trois Chevaux (3CV), it reportedly captures the spirit of the quirky Ami 6, draws on the space efficiency of the 2CV and mimics the ride comfort of the hydropneumatically sprung GS.
