SmallTownSpeed is proud to be the North American dealer for the quality cast aluminum, Australian made, AussieSpeed product line. We stock these parts here in Texas, and offer FREE priority shipping anywhere in the USA(and will ship almost anywhere in the world)

This listing is for one brand new POLISHED smooth aluminum valve cover for Honda GX120 gx140, gx160. gx200, clone 5.5 and 6.5 motors, as well as the harbor freight predator 212 with the stamped valve cover(considered the non-hemi or "old", despite them still being sold new in most of the stores. This one will NOT fit the hemi predator that came stock with a cast valve cover). This is perfect for giving your go kart, mini-bike, barstool racer, or any other small engine project an unmatched quality smooth custom look. This cover is the shorter of the 2 heights we offer for these, which gives extra room for roller rockers, but for really wild set ups check out the taller covers we offer in my other listings. This is polished, and looks awesome, but its not a perfect mirror finish, and while it looks awesome and would be ready to enter into a mini-bike type show, its not a mass produced part, or a "show" polish. It will have minor flaws, and may have some small nicks and scratches from the shipping to get it to the USA.

Check my ebay store/other listings for the matching top plate, catch cans, fuel pump covers, gas tanks, and clutch covers. Contact me for package deal discounts if your buying multiple items. I also offer this in a polished finish for $69.99 shipped.

It is very important that your motor is vented, if you do not vent your crankcase(which is usually accomplished by a hose coming off of the stock valve cover), you can lose power, blow out seals and gaskets and damage your motor. Since there are several ways to accomplish this(one of which is a nipple on the oil fill plug, which would not require a hole in the valve cover), and since most of these covers will be going on really cool custom projects, they do not come pre-drilled to give you the largest amount of flexibility; but these are good high quality, non-brittle castings that are easy to drill and tap(for a vent or pulse fitting for a fuel pump). If you are not comfortable with/don't have the tools for/would rather not mess with the drilling and tapping, call me at 972-989-4003 and I should be able to help you out.

The first 8 pictures are what you will be receiving. Pictures 9 & 10 are comparing the stock predator 212 valve cover, an Aussie Speed standard/short valve cover(still taller than stock, same height as the one offered in this listing), and a Tall Aussie Speed valve cover. Picture 11 is an example of one that was drilled for a breather.

Note: These are small production run, sand cast(not cheap brittle die cast), aluminum parts. These are high quality parts, but due to the manufacturing process, there can be very slight variances from part to part. I personally run these parts, and have been blown away by the quality( never had an issue with any of them), but just want to remind people that these are low production cast parts, not factory made, cnc machined billet parts(which is a big part of why I prefer these parts). They look awesome as cast, you can paint them(or smooth then paint if you want a mirror finish), or they can be smoothed and polished like this one, which looks amazing!

I'm a full time Firefighter/paramedic, and an avid motorcycle rider. I part out bikes to help offset what I spend building, riding, and racing them. With that said, I'm not a big shop, and this is not my only job. I will do everything in my power to ship parts out ASAP, and 95% of the time I get them out within 1 business day of when they are paid for, but because of my work schedule(where I work 24hr shifts, and sometimes work 48 and 72hr shifts), and my riding, there may be rare occasions that it may take longer than 24hrs before I get it shipped out. If you are in a rush to get the part, please contact me, and I will do everything I can get it out fast(and if you contact me, I can make special arrangements, and 99% of the time can get it sent out the same day). But if you are somebody who expects everything to be shipped instantly "come hell or high water", please find another seller who will better fit your needs, because I may very well be busy dealing with hell or high water, or just unwinding and riding my motorcycles. And the latter should be easy enough to relate to, right? I ALSO SELL PARTS ON FORUMS and LOCALLY, so I reserve the right to END AUCTIONS EARLY. I'm happy to combine shipping when practical, and I'm also happy to make package deals if there are several parts you need. Email is the best way to contact me, but I'm happy to give you a call, or give you my personal cell number if you would rather call me. FOLLOW ME ON FACEBOOK: SMALLTOWNSPEED

UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED, ALL OF THE PARTS I'M SELLING ARE USED. I guarantee them to fit the bike I took them off of; and any other years on models mentioned are to help people find parts that may work for them, not a guarantee of fitment. I pride myself in good customer service, accurate descriptions, and low prices. There is no feasible way for me to list or confirm every possible fitment while keeping my prices low. If you're not sure, check with your local dealer, or compare part numbers at an online oem supplier like motosport. BUT I CAN NOT STRESS ENOUGH THAT EVERY PART I SELL IS SOLD EXACTLY AS PICTURED AND AS-IS. It is also possible that over the life of the bike that I'm parting out, that parts were changed to something other than what was put on at the assembly line. So, where am I going with all of this? I wont stick anybody with parts they don't want or can't use. I accept returns, and my great feedback speaks for itself; seriously, read through some of it.... I treat other riders(that's you) how I would want to be treated; but I ask that you do the same for me in two ways. 1- having realistic expectations when your buying used parts. 2- if something is not right; let me know and give me a chance to make it right for you before opening a dispute or leaving feedback. I've never had anybody who has contacted me with an issue not end up completely satisfied. I aim for 5 star service 100% of the time. If I'm not achieving that, please let me know how I can improve.

Thanks!

BMW's new 5-series next for hybrid power

Wed, 28 Oct 2009

The new BMW 5-series being launched this winter is likely to be the next BMW to receive the ActiveHybrid system pioneered on the petrol-electric 7-series and X6 models. BMW engineers admit they can't rely on sales of the pricey hybrid 7-series and X6 to justify the development costs, even though these range-topping halo hybrids were jointly developed with Daimler and GM. Senior sources have indicated that the new 2010 5-series will be the next BMW to get an ActiveHybrid model.

Instead of using them to shift through gears, ELR drivers will be able to tap the paddles to engage a new feature called Regen on Demand.
