The only 'defect' is a slight indentation from where the clamp was, which your clamp will cover when mounted on your pipes.

These (almost brand new) tips came off a 1964 Corvette, but should fit any 2 inch exhaust pipe on any make car.  The stamped part number A-3819573 is a Chevrolet Corvette number for 1963 - '67, as shown in the 1964 Corvette Assembly Manual.  I got these tips and ran them on the car for about 500 miles.  They are nearly perfect, not one ding or scratch.  I included a picture of the slice-cut ends so you can see how nice they are, no dents.  The reason I am putting these up for sale is I installed the seamed tips with no part number, per NCRS Guidebook, so my loss is your gain.  If you ordered a new set of stainless tips for 50+ bucks and put them on your car for two months, you would have what is offered here for half the price.  The insides have a little 327 exhaust in them, that's it.  They are 10 & 5/8ths inches long, overall, to the longest part of the sliced tip.  Your 2 inch exhaust pipe will go into the tip 1 & 1/2 inches.  They are still really nice shiny silvery stainless steel and have not turned that golden color from exhaust heat yet.  They've been sitting wrapped up in my parts bin for two years and it's time they found a new home.  (Old guy is cleaning out the garage.)

Ford prototype seat measures your heart rate

Tue, 24 May 2011

Ford continues its foray into health and wellness with a car that can monitor the driver's heart activity. Research engineers in Germany have developed a prototype seat with six sensors that can monitor the heart's electric impulses through clothes and give an early warning as to whether a driver should seek medical attention because of irregularities. Drivers who have cardiovascular disease are 23 percent more likely to be involved in a car accident.
