Thickstun GMC Polished 6 Finned Aluminum Side Cover 270 302 Inline Hot Rod

 

This is a new, cool, finned cast aluminum Thickstun side cover for the GMC 6 cylinder 270, 302 and earlier GMC engines.  It has been show polished.

Cast, machined and polished in the US from the original patterns, this is a serious casting weighing just under 6 lbs.  The rear gasket mounting face has been machined to ensure a good seal.

Also included are 18 new stainless bolts and washers to mount the cover as it is slightly thicker than the original tin cover.

Perfect for your GMC Inline 6, SCTA or Bonneville engine, roadster, hot rod, street rod, rat rod or kool kustom.

The Machimoto might look and sound like a Japanese concept, but it was developed in Europe in the Turin-based Italdesign studio, and was based on a Volkswagen Golf GTI platform. The name actually derives from MACHIna (car in Italian) and MOTOciclo (motorcycle) as the perfect hybrid between the worlds of two- and four-wheelers. Unveiled on its home turf at the Turin motor show in 1986, it landed like a UFO, shocking both the public and the press.
