This insulator replaces your normal turbocharger to carb plenum gasket and helps to insulate the plenum from heat transferred to it from the hot turbocharger.
This is another step in the process of eliminating heat from the incoming air charge, combine this insulator with an EGR blockoff plate and disconnecting the coolant lines to the plenum.
Phenolic insulators like this have shown reductions in inlet temperature of up to 30 degrees. A cooler air charge means less detonation, this allows you to run more timing and more boost for increased power output.
This spacer is to be used without a gasket, just a coat of high-temp sealant on each side and you're ready to go. It is very resilient and can be re-used many times, no need for a new spacer each time you remove the plenum.
We use only high quality G10 GRE (Glass Reinforced Epoxy) phenolic material unlike the cheaper PRP (Paper reinforced plastic) which can fatigue and lose shape in a short period of time. G10 Phenolic is stronger and provides the best resisitance to thermal transfer.
Will fit Pontiac Firebird, Formula, Esprit and Trans-AM with 301 Turbo engine.

So Fiat are trying to inject a bit more interest in the Punto by making some teaks to the range, deleting a couple of trim levels and adding a new one – the Punto Sporting. The Fiat Punto Sporting is Fiat’s take on ‘Sporty’ for the Punto with a set of side skirts, a sports suspension setup, ‘Tarmac’ finish on the dash, 16″ alloys, chrome exhaust tip and a gloss black roof.
