Mercedes M-class facelift (2008): first official pictures

And despite the blink-and-you’ll-miss-it styling, Merc claims to have meticulously revamped its SUV. The nose gets a new front bumper, new headlights, and in case the M-class wasn’t in-your-face enough, there’s also now a ‘more dominant radiator’.

98% fear UK road safety not improving

Research conducted for the latest issue of the Auto Trader Owner’s Guide suggests that a staggering 98% of British motorists fear that the government is failing to improve safety on UK roads. Of the 3,000 drivers surveyed for the quarterly publication, 77% also want theory and practical driving skills to be taught in schools, while 60% are convinced the coming fixed penalty fines for careless driving will do nothing to benefit safety. Aston Martin V12 Zagato

The new Aston Martin V12 Zagato has been unveiled ahead of its official debut at the Concorso d'Eleganza this weekend. This latest concept marks the revival Aston Martin's long-standing collaboration with the famed coachbuilder in the 50th anniversary year of the iconic DB4GT. Based on the V12 Vantage, the Zagato model features the coachbuilder's defining 'double bubble' roof and a new handcrafted aluminum body, which was formed using an English wheel and traditionally crafted body bucks.
