This is from my 1963 Pontiac Catalina 4dr Vista hardtop. The car had approx 72,000 miles. I owned the car for over 22 years. It did run at one time. has not been started in over 12 years. It will need to be rebuilt. Wanted to restore car, but parts worth more than total of car. Cost of shipping is based on 1,000lbs crated from my zip 97045. Fastenal does ship items for less depending on your location. LTL freight is probably best, but you decide. The crate will have wheels on bottom for ease of moving. please note shipping cost is actual and may exceed the $350 listed. Ebay dictates a number.

Volvo V60 Plug-in Hybrid: Production underway

Mon, 19 Nov 2012

The world’s first production plug-in diesel hybrid – the Volvo V60 Plug-in Hybrid – has gone in to production ahead of customer deliveries. Volvo are producing just 1,000 2013 V60 plug-ins, but are aiming to up production to between 4-6,000 a year from the 2014 model year and, despite the problems of integrating the V60′s complicated electric stuff in to a production car, the V60 plug-in is rolling down the same production line as the regular V60, V70, S80 and XC90. That complicated stuff includes two different powertrains and a battery pack – enough for up to 32 miles as an EV only – and a total of 300 additional parts compared to a regular ICE V60.

The average passenger car sold in the United States has about 100 cubic feet of interior volume. That's a lot of room for electrons. At this week's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, there will be almost no end of new things to do with those electrons, from entertaining occupants to informing them, and many of those new things will be aimed at the automotive market.

Winners named in teen-safety video contest

Tue, 01 Sep 2009

Sometimes, the best way to get a teen's attention is to let another teen do the talking. Especially when it involves a subject such as driver safety, which many teens tend to tune out as just another lecture from parents. Tire maker Bridgestone Americas adopted the teens-talking-to-teens philosophy in 2006 with its Safety Scholars video contest.
