Condition:Used Brand:Pontiac

1970 GTO 400 short block. YS stamped for automatic 350hp. Dated code is November 1969 so it would fit an early to mid production car. I don't think it's ever been totally apart but someone started to disassemble it. It has definite rod bearing failure but the block looks good other than a little surface rust. I don't know for sure if the crank is usable but I have seen ones that looked worse turn out fine at .020 or .030. It has been setting in the corner of my garage for 15 years. If you are needing a correct engine for your '70 GTO this is the one. I can attach it to a pallet and it is at a commercial address with a fork lift but you will have to arrange and pay for your own shipping unless you want to pick it up in person. I accept Paypal or money order. This is a usable block but will need a total rebuild. Thank you for looking.

We already know plenty about the 2012 Civic, from its new suspension and dynamics – tuned to UK roads, no less – to the improved engines with better economy and lower emissions, thanks to an endless tease from Honda, but one which was at least informative. And now we get to the meat of the new Civic, with UK prices, models and specifications revealed.

General Motors Europe opens new Design Center

Fri, 12 May 2006

Being a car designer is often percieved as a glamourous occupation, but few people realise that this typically means working in some of the least inspiring places. Wolfsburg, Detroit and Birmingham are just a few of the locations that are home to some of the largest populations of car designers around the world. GM Europe's location in Russelsheim, Germany is also one of the less glamourous locations but the new design center building opened this week aims to redress the otherwise rather industrial feel of the place where tomorrow's Opels and Saabs are created.
