Very RARE and hard to find 1965 WT as most 1965 blocks are cracked thru the lifter valley. Date L-xx-4 This is for the rebuilt short block,but we do have the matching heads and intake for this engine.The block was baked blasted magged bored & honed .030 oversize custom forged pistons as there are no good off the shelf pistons for 389 and boring .060 over and using std. 400 pistons is dumb as the valve pockets are in the wrong location. decked crankshaft ground .010-.010 rods resized with new arp rod bolts premium moly rings clevite bearings Pontiac's best 068 camshaft roller timing set internal bal. brass soft plugs only proven premium parts have been used. Electric cars must get noisier, ICE cars must get quieter
Sun, 06 Apr 2014Electric cars will have to make a noise to protect pedestrians It’s four years since the Lotus solution for making electric cars noisy raised its head, since when the US has had a go at the Pedestrian Safety Enhancement Act in 2010 to do the same thing, the Japanese are playing too, and Toyota revealed the Prius Vehicle Notification System, and now the EU has decided its time to act to make EVs emit ‘noise’. Despite the most appealing part of an EV being that it makes our cities quieter, legislators worry about the blind, partially sighted and distracted pedestrian (think earphones and a Smartphone) being mowed down by a stalking electric car and feel the need to act. So the European Parliament has decided that by 2019 new models of electric vehicle will have to make a noise in cities, and that by 2021 all new hybrids and electrics must be noisy too.
Volkswagen Are Rally Champs For Second Year Running
Tue, 16 Sep 2014ANOTHER year, another title – that’s the news from down under as Volkswagen has secured the World Rally Manufacturers’ Championship for the second year running after a clean sweep at the Rally Australia round. After a tense battle over the weekend, with Brit Kris Meeke leading for Citroen at one point, Volkswagen eventually took all three podium steps as Sebastien Ogier lead from teammate Jari-Matti Latvala with Andreas Mikkelsen coming in third. With only three rallies remaining this season, Volkswagen can no longer be caught at the top of the overall standings.
2013 Rolls Royce Ghost updates
Tue, 30 Oct 2012Three years on from the launch of a Rolls Royce for owner drivers – the RR Ghost – Rolls Royce has made some updates for 2013. Believe it or not, it’s three years since the Rolls Royce Ghost arrived at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show as a more ‘Sporty’ take on the RR ethos and aimed at owner-drivers; the sort of chap who’s outgrown big Mercedes and BMW but still likes to drive. Three years on from launch, we’re still waiting for RR to deliver a Ghost Coupe (perhaps the Corniche?) and a Ghost DHC, so when we saw an email from Rolls Royce with 2013 updates we got quite excited.
