Description

The GXP-Street race exhaust system is Solo’s noisiest GXP exhaust kit. This was developed for the enthusiasts that like a full bodied exhaust note. The STREET RACE has no muffler to reduce the noise, the turbo acts like a muffler as it “chops” up the exhaust and deadens the noise to an acceptable level. Your neighbors “will” hear you coming and going.

Here are some attributes of our GXP-Street Race system:
•  SOLO’S loudest exhaust kit for the turbo GXP.
•  Fully polished stainless steel cat back exhaust kit.
•  Includes all necessary hardware for installation.
•  Classed as a full bodied nosier exhaust kit.
•  Recommended for the enthusiast

Street Race Kit

Front Pipe:
•  3” mandrel bent polished stainless steel.
•  Laser cut stainless steel flange.
•  Extra hanger included for support.
•  Heavy duty double braided flex pipe is used.
•  A very precise hand made flare is on the front pipe to alleviate having to reduce the pipe to 2 ½”.
•  The front pipe mates to the stock 2 ½” catalytic converter or our full 3” free flow converter.

Mid Section:
•  The best transition stamped stainless steel Y pipe is used to take the system from a single 3” to a dual 2 ½”.
•  The dual 2 ½ pipes used here are more flow that the single 3”.

Rear Section:
•  There is no muffler in this kit.
•  The tailpipes flow into a beautifully crafted beveled 4” angle cut full bodied stainless steel exhaust tips manufactured by Solo Performance.

Ford B-Max (2012) goes into the great wide open

Thu, 08 Mar 2012

Ford hopes a less-is-more approach will lure punters to its new B-max MPV, unique in the supermini segment for having a big hole in the central cockpit instead of a structural pillar. The result is a flexible people mover that's a doddle to load with kids or cargo, Ford claims, thanks to its pillarless opening and sliding rear door. The novel doors landed the £12,500 people mover in the same must-see company as Bentley's grotesque SUV concept and Ferrari's beautiful F12.

Kia Kue concept

Wed, 20 Dec 2006

Kia has released a design sketch of its newest concept car - the Kue. With distinctly grand SUV styling, Kue majors on greater driving dynamics and performance.  The focus is very much about an exciting driving experience, as opposed to the typical SUV or CUV [Crossover Utility Vehicle] lifestyle and is the first major new concept launched under the guidance of new design chief Peter Schreyer. Kue is based around a dynamically focused monocoque chassis and features large seven-spoke 22-inch alloy wheels and doors that feature a distinctive sill-to-waist door crease which can be clearly seen on the all new cee'd. Size wise, the Kue measures up with an overall length of 4,720mm and a 2,900mm wheelbase.

Concept Car of the Week: AMC AMX/2 (1969)

Fri, 18 Jan 2013

Like Detroit's Big Three, AMC rapidly understood the importance of the youth market after the success of the Ford Mustang. In the late 60s, the design team produced a series of "Think Young" concept cars to reach the younger audience as well as exciting new showroom offerings like the Mustang-inspired Javelin, the two-seater AMX and the Rambler. Presented at the 1969 Chicago auto show, the second opus of the American Motors Experimental series, the AMX/2 was not just AMC's most daring concept car ever, but one of Detroit's first acknowledgments that the future of high-performance sports cars would be mid-engined.
