35 Years Porsche Classics

Once upon a time I owned a 1970 911T.  I bought it with an estimated 125,000 miles (the speedometer drive gear was broken) and drove it for about that many more.  A growing family required more versatile transportation, so I sold it in in 1985 for almost exactly what I had paid.

The Autopress and Haynes manuals helped make ownership possible, along with the factory Technical Specifications book listed separately.  With the help of these books I was able to do all maintenance and repairs on my 911.

The two magazines are in very nice, clean used condition with tight bindings.  Both repair manuals were well thumbed - see photos for my grease prints on the page edges.  The bindings are solid, the pages are complete, clean (except for the edges - see photos), and are not defaced in any way.

I have the Factory Specifications book, some tools, and other Porsche items listed seperately.  Please see my other listings.

I will accept a return of these items if you find them not to be as described.

Mercedes C Class Coupe (2011) Spy Shots

Fri, 09 Jul 2010

The Mercedes C-Class Coupe Spied Mercedes recently let the old C-Class Coupe wither and die because – without putting too fine a point on it – it was a failure. It didn’t sell particularly well and it didn’t sell at all across the Pond. Which is not a huge surprise.

Project Car Hell: BMW-powered Opel Olympia vs. Aston-equipped Singer Nine

Fri, 14 Oct 2011

Editor's note: When you can't fit your newly acquired basket-case Jeep FC150 in the garage because you have an Autocar Sussita and a 1928 Studebaker President chassis buried beneath crates of Subaru 360 parts, you're in Project Car Hell. Our friend Murilee Martin is here to oil up the gates to Automotive Hades, bringing the series back with a couple of you'd-hafta-be-outta-your-mind hypothetical engine-swap projects. And be sure to check back for fresh installments of Project Car Hell every week.

Jaguar launch a couple of Apple Apps Now that Jaguar has managed to break in to the 21st century with its product it’s also doing its best to break in to the 21st century with its technology. And it’s making a pretty good job of it too. A couple of days ago we exclusively reported that Jaguar are installing the latest software on all XJs free of charge in what we think is an industry first.
