Original engine spun bearing at 21,000 miles. Instead of reinstalling these pistons and cylinders, a new set was installed. You can see how nice they clean up with a little brake clean and clean rag. Top ring on piston shown was broken by ham fisted person who removed piston for photographs and did not have ring compressor to reinstall. |

Fiat's Montezemolo plans to quit as chairman, sources say
Tue, 20 Apr 2010Fiat S.p.A. Chairman Luca Cordero di Montezemolo will quit as company chairman to go into politics, three sources close to the company said. Montezemolo is set to stay on Fiat group's board, as well as remain chairman of the company's Ferrari sports car subsidiary.

Mon, 28 May 2007Starting June 1, 2007 Lorenzo Ramaciotti will become the new Group Chief of Design at Fiat Group Automobiles. Ramaciotti was snatched up by Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne and convinced to head the company's design direction, filling a newly created position that hasn't previously existed at Fiat. Lorenzo Ramaciotti, who retired from Pininfarina in June 2005 after working for the famed coachbuilder for 32 years, will be responsible for all the Fiat Group brands, including Alfa Romeo, Lancia and Maserati.
