These are replicas of the infamous 16" 356 Pre A / 550 Spyder wheels. The original Spyder wheel was an alloy rim with riveted steel centers. It is reported that only about 100 of the original 550 Spyder production cars exist today. This makes trying to find originals very difficult and very expensive. These reproduction wheels are new all steel rim with welded centers. The wheels look perfect on a 550 Spyder replica and are for the owner is search of the authentic look and feel from the past. Nissan teases new Sports Saloon Concept for Detroit Now we’re in to 2014, and the Detroit Auto Show is just a few weeks away, we’re going to get more news and teases ahead of the show, and this one comes from Nissan. The single teaser image (above) shows a new ‘Sports Sedan Concept’ which looks like it will preview the next generation Nissan Maxima due in 2015. We don’t get the Maxima in the UK, but the Sports Sedan Concept also previews a new style direction for Nissan which is likely – in  toned-down form – to find its way in to future Nissan’s this side of the Pond.

Nissan recall due to faulty airbag sensors

Nissan is recalling the Altima, Leaf, Pathfinder, Sentra and Infiniti JX35 vehicles from model year 2013 due to a problem with passenger airbag sensors. According to NHTSA, there's a chance the sensors within the passenger Occupant Detection System (ODS) were manufactured out of specification, which could keep the passenger airbags from deploying in a crash. Nissan will notify owners in April, and dealers will inspect affected vehicles, replacing faulty sensors at no charge to the customer.
