This is a very nice accessory that allows a unique streamlining of the 356 cabriolet. It features "tapered and reversed" louvers, (to evacuate any "bottled up" air) as seen on many of the factory racers of the era. This is a durable substantial part, hand fabricated by traditional methods in .063 aluminum, -that's a sixteenth of an inch thick.This panel once fitted, is easily removed and installed. No holes are drilled in the car and there is no damage to its surroundings. This piece creates an enclosed space over the "occasional" rear seating, and gives the cars a cozier overall look akin to a Speedster, Roadster or Conv. D, with the appearance of  their smaller compartments.

This tonneau has been pre- fitted, but its "joggled edge" need to be "tuned" to the individual car, and then polished or painted and trimmed. I also suggest a cushioning fabric/cord  "bead" or welting fitted to the underside of its perimeter to keep from scuffing the paint. Bracketing and mounting tags/hardware is supplied. A competent craftsman will have no problem with this project.
