A new production of the very rare picklefork wiper blade. Correct for 1956 to 1959 Coupe, Speedster, Cab, and Conv D, 260mm length. Created using entirely new tooling, right down to the correct "christmas tree" profile rubber insert, stainless steel tension insert, and stainless end "clips". We sold out at the LA Lit meet and are now back in stock. Sold "each".
Works with original oem picklefork arms. Please see our other auctions for the correct picklefork arms in Coupe/Cab/ConvD length, and picklefork arms in Speedster length. OK, the best drivers can still beat this car, but we can imagine a time when autonomous cars will handle all of our driving needs, even the competitive kind.
Winners and Losers: Porsche sales pop in April
Wed, 04 May 2011Porsche sales spiked 82 percent in April and are up 46 percent for the year, parking the luxury automaker among the top five winners so far for 2011. The redesigned Cayenne made the biggest contribution, with sales up an eye-popping 384 percent from last April and 141 percent for this year. Porsche counted 1,578 copies of the Cayenne sold in April, versus 326 the year before.
GM plants solar field at Chevrolet Volt factory
Wed, 11 May 2011Looking to put a charge in its eco-friendly image, General Motors is installing a 264,000-square-foot solar field at the Detroit-Hamtramck assembly plant that builds the Chevrolet Volt plug-in hybrid sedan. The solar field, being built in cooperation with utility DTE Energy, will generate 516 kilowatts. GM says that’s enough power to charge up 150 Volts every day for a year.
