This 1.6-liter flat-four and four-speed manual transaxle were recently removed from my now sold 1965 Porsche 356 race car. The engine case originated in a 1968 912 and was reportedly built by Jeff Gamroth at Rothsport Racing of Sherwood, Oregon in 2018. Modifications include 40mm Solex carburetors, ACE cylinder heads, a Pertronix distributor, a large-capacity oil sump, a Kennedy Engineering clutch and lightweight flywheel, and a stainless steel exhaust system. The Type 741 gearbox was refreshed by 356 Enterprises of North Branch, Michigan in 2016 and features custom gearing for long-track road racing. The engine have less than one hour of race time, while the transaxle saw four race weekends.

The exterior stays the same, but the company has made a number of changes with the standard equipment, in addition to drivetrain and exterior options. Perhaps the biggest change to the Genesis coupe's drivetrain for the 2014 model year is a downshift rev-matching system, which has been standard for models equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Valuable 1932 Ford stolen before Goodguys car show, recovered the next day

Authorities have recovered a valuable Ford Deuce coupe stolen before the Goodguys car show last weekend in Indianapolis. The 1932 Ford, estimated to be worth $300,000, was taken on Friday from a car hauler in a hotel parking lot, the Indiana State Police said. The car was found in the driveway of a vacant house on the city's southwest side after being spotted by a citizen who tipped off police.
