This is a "raw" unprimed aluminum tonneau/headrest that I've made to offer here. I currently have a Speedster in my shop for a similar tonneau (I've also made shown primed) and I'm able to use the car to check fit.  This is a durable substantial part, hand fabricated by traditional methods in .063 aluminum, -that's a sixteenth of an inch thick. It has been welded with all seams welded or reflowed on the backside for over 100% weld penetration extra strength. These tonneau's are unique  items that really individualize a car. This offer is for the raw alloy piece shown in the first seven pics. I'm including the primed pics as it is easier to see the basic form of these with a flat uniform coating. It isn't being offered here. I'll post pictures of the completed job, if this tonneau doesn't sell prior.

I've been a source for these for over thirty-five years. I figure each one might be my last at my age! I will also say that they are a lot of work, and  this is where you start. This panel once fitted, is easily removed and installed. No holes are  drilled in the car and no damage to its surroundings from this panel.

This tonneau has been (initially) fitted  but its adjustable "joggled edge" needs to be tipped or "tuned" to the individual car, and surfaces smoothed and painted. A matching upholstered "pillow" is fitted at the front of  the nacelle to cushion the drivers head. I also suggest a cushioning black plastic or fabric/cord welting fitted to the underside of its perimeter to keep from scuffing the paint, and hiding minor discrepancies in fit/gap. Bracketing and mounting tags will be part of your task. This is designed for quick release Dzus fasteners, on brackets at either side, at the lower front top bow pivot points.

This will be carefully crated, and it will be shipped to your door, at actual shippers cost, so once again, Please Disregard the Ebay Shipping Autocalculator.  Happy to answer any questions/details

Peugeot RCZ GT THP 1.6 156 Review & Road Test (2010) Part 2

Tue, 21 Sep 2010

The Peugeot RCZ Interior - really quite decent Let’s get some of the styling stuff out of the way first. The front is a bit of a let-down. It has the same Peugeot wide grill, oversized, in-your-face badge and lights that make the nose of the RCZ look like it’s had a botched rhinoplasty.

BMW 135i CSL – or something quick?

Wed, 14 Apr 2010

The powerful BMW 1-Series spotted at the Nurburgring We’ve had endless speculation that BMW are to produce an ‘M’ car for their baby 1-Series range. An argument for which is very strong. After all, if you can attach the ‘M’ moniker to a pair of fat SUVs – the X5M and X6M – attaching the ‘M’ badge to the 1-Series seems a no-brainer.

Volvo to give away S60 on Facebook

Tue, 14 Jun 2011

Win a Volvo S60 on Facebook It seems that Volvo UK are very keen to get their Social Web stuff buzzing. Last week we reported that Volvo were giving away tickets for the Goodwood Moving Motor Show, including the chance to drive a Volvo up the Goodwood hillclimb. The entry criteria were simple enough – follow Volvo on Twitter and Tweet back the answer to a daily Volvo trivia question including the relevant hashtag.
