Mercedes-Benz CLA180 cheats the wind
Fri, 08 Feb 2013Mercedes-Benz claims its new CLA180 BlueEfficiency Edition will be the world's most aerodynamically efficient production road car when the European deliveries begin in June. The swoopy four-door sedan forms part of an initial five-car lineup of CLA models set for a public debut at the Geneva motor show in March. With an official drag co-efficient of 0.22, the CLA180 Blue Efficiency Edition undercuts the existing aerodynamic champion, the Mercedes B180 BlueEfficiency with the optional eco technology package, which claims a 0.24 Cd.
Poll Reveals Dishonesty Of Drivers Causing Damage
Thu, 31 Jul 2014A NEW poll, commissioned by ContractHireAndLeasing.com, has found that a worrying 30% say they would consider leaving the scene of an accident after only causing minor damage. If that doesn’t sound bad enough, 4% said they would leave even if extensive damage was caused. The research also showed that honesty among drivers varies extensively between age, location and income groups.
Audi lights up for the shortest day
Thu, 19 Dec 2013AUDI UK has created a stunning series of low-light photos to celebrate its success this year, just in time for the shortest day of the year. The seven photos use a technique called ‘light painting’, where a stationary object in the dark is lit up by a small hand-held light to selectively brighten areas over a long exposure period to eventually create an unusual-looking end result. To the trained eye it looks like Audi has supplemented the photographer’s torch with static lighting to increase the beauty of the end result, but there’s no doubting their success.
