Pininfarina Hyperion

Called the Hyperion, one of the Titans of Greek mythology, the car was created for collector Robert Hall by the coachbuilder's Special Projects Division. It was inspired by the proportions of cars from the 1930s.

The figures, obtained through a series of freedom of information requests by Churchill Insurance, found that Westminster City Council issued the equivalent of more than four Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) per resident in 2013, generating an income of £24 million for 455,000 fines. The sleek racer – powered by twin diesel engines each producing 750bhp – touched 308.252mph yesterday (Thursday 17 August). That smashes the current diesel car world record of 235.756mph, set in 1973.
