Celebrity spotting at the 2013 Los Angeles Motor Show
Thu, 21 Nov 2013Los Angeles ain't called Tinseltown for nothing. It's probably the most celebrity-filled place on the planet - so it's no surprise that lots of well-known stars dropped in on the 2013 Los Angeles Motor Show. We saw dozens of names at the LA show, including world sprint champion Usain Bolt, who moonlights as Nissan's director of excitement when he's not smashing world records on the atheletics track.
First Fisker Karma in the UK auctioned for £140k
Thu, 13 Oct 2011First Fisker Karma in the UK auctioned for charity The extended range Fisker Karma arrived at last year’s Paris motor show, and now the very first Karma to arrive in the UK has been auctioned in aid of charity and raised a bid of £140,000 at the Pratham UK Gala held at Camden’s Roundhouse. The altruism demonstrated by offering appealing cars for charity auctions is to be commended, especially from a young - and relatively impoverished - outfit like Henrik Fisker’s eponymous company. Yes, there’s a bit of publicity to be garnered for the Karma, but good on Henrik for offering up the first Karma to charity.
Morgan Threewheeler (2011) first official pictures
Wed, 03 Nov 2010Morgan surprised us all today by going back in time and unveiling the new-for-2011 roadster Threewheeler. Morgan started out making three-wheelers and from next year it will do so again; between 1909 and 1953 Morgan manufactured around 30,000 three-wheelers. One even won the French Grand Prix in 1913 and Stirling Moss owned one. The new Morgan will be fitted with the latest 'Screaming Eagle' 1800cc twin engine from a Harley Davidson married to a five-speed manual transmission from Mazda.
