The weather wasn’t all it could have been but that didn’t stop the fun at the 2013 instalment of CarFest South at Laverstoke Park Farm near Basingstoke in Hampshire. The annual event organised by DJ, TV presenter and famous car nut Chris Evans ran over three days with a sell-out crowd helping raise money for Children in Need.MSN Cars was on site capturing the best of the cars and the atmosphere. Ford posts best June sales performance in down market

In a month of sandbagged auto sales, Ford was the clear winner. The Blue Oval posted a sales decline of “just” 10.7 percent in June, in a market that fell nearly 27.7 percent. It was by far the best showing of any major carmaker, helped by strong sales of its Fusion sedan and Escape crossover.

Lexus teases Frankfurt SUV concept (2013)

Lexus has released the first picture of what’s expected to be its new SUV concept car, bound for the Frankfurt motor show in September 2013. Clearly set to employ the sharp-creased design and huge ‘spindle grille’ cues from the current Lexus range – not to mention the LF-LC coupe concept – Lexus is nevertheless staying tight-lipped on details of its new model. We’ll see the car revealed completely in early September.
