For sale is a used Porsche 911 clock. This was removed from a 1972 Porsche 911, but will work on other year and model Porsche’s. The part number on the face of the clock is 911 641 701 00. The clock is date stamped 3/72. We tested this on a battery and it worked, but we do not know how accurate it is. The black bezel also needs to be re painted. 2006 Michelin Challenge Design seeks vehicle designs for California market
Tue, 08 Feb 2005Michelin issued a call for entries to the global design community this week to kick off the 2006 Michelin Challenge Design, one of the industry's fastest growing vehicle design forums. In the last four years, Michelin Challenge Design has been the catalyst for students in design universities, design firms, professional designers from top OEMs, and individual designers from all over the world to have their work exhibited at a major international auto show in support of a central theme. Last year, submissions were received from 50 countries worldwide with selected designs displayed at the 2005 North American International Auto Show in January.
700 medics call for car smoking ban
Fri, 07 Feb 2014AROUND 700 medics and health experts are calling on the Government to ban smoking in cars carrying children ahead of a Commons vote on Monday. In a letter to the British Medical Journal (BMJ), respiratory experts said secondhand smoke was a "major cause of ill health in children", damaging the developing lungs, causing sudden infant death and leading to thousands of hospital trips every year. Signatories to the letter are being co-ordinated by Dr Nicholas Hopkinson from Imperial College London and chairman of the British Thoracic Society's chronic obstructive pulmonary disease specialist advisory group.
