Porsche 912 engine block from a Florida rust bucket car with only 87,000 miles from an early 1965 car engine number #740954. A perfect standard crank with standard rod and main bearings came out of this block that were first run production bearings for Porsche as the triangle with the "P" stamped inside was on the bearings. Align bore of the main bearing bosses is standard and excellent. No machining surprises or repairs and I was the first one to crack the case open since the car was new and will promise you no screwdriver or pry bar marks are on the case halves or timing cover where they meet. Oil pump bore is nice and not scratchy. Matching 3 piece case with number "887" stamped on all three pieces. Shipping quote is for the 48 states, buyers outside the 48 states and international please call for a quote.

Peugeot puts RCZ designer on Twitter

Fri, 18 Jun 2010

Like many automakers, Peugeot is now making conspicuous use of social media platforms as a component in its new car launch campaigns and in order to manage customer relations online. For its new RCZ coupe, Peugeot in the UK has been running a social media campaign under the strap line "It chooses you", with associated Twitter and Facebook accounts – which culminated with a member of the public winning an RCZ last week. For auto designers, there was little interest in the campaign up until last week, when Peugeot put RCZ designer Boris Reinmöller behind a computer terminal and opened him up to a public Q+A session through its Twitter account.
