This listing is for a Porsche 902/1 5-Speed Transaxle. I bought this about a year ago for a VW Type-1 conversion but unfortunately I must sell the project due to a long distance move for work. I bought this Transaxle from a very reputable Porsche collector/racer in Southern California and was told that it was pulled from a good running 912. Everything appears to be good with it, I replaced the nose cone seal just to be safe but that's all I have done. When I removed the nose cone I took a good look down into the gears and everything looked perfect! Full seal kit and VW conversion info binder are included.

Specifications- 1965-1967 Porsche 912 and some 911. I am pretty sure this is a 1965 trans judging from the 42/65 code on the case.

SHIPPING- I prefer a local pickup for this but I would be willing to ship at the buyers expense. If this item is to be shipped, please allow a few additional days to get it packed up and sent out. Additionally, I will be out of town 3-20 May so if you buy during this time I WILL NOT be able to ship until right after I get back, sorry for any inconvenience.

Third of motorists admit to driving with no MOT

Wed, 21 Aug 2013

A third of motorists have driven a car knowing the MOT had expired, risking fines of up to £1,000 and invalidating their insurance in the process. That’s according to a survey conducted by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), which found that of 1,000 UK motorists, 67% had driven without an MOT for up to a week, 24% for a month, 7% for six months and – shockingly – 2% for more than six months. Now we’d give the 67% who admitted driving without an MOT for a week the benefit of the doubt – it’s easy to forget the test is due.
