Porsche 912 Or 911 5-speed 902/1 Transaxle on 2040-parts.com
California City, California, United States
This listing is for a Porsche 902/1 5-Speed Transaxle. I bought this about a year ago for a VW Type-1 conversion but unfortunately I must sell the project due to a long distance move for work. I bought this Transaxle from a very reputable Porsche collector/racer in Southern California and was told that it was pulled from a good running 912. Everything appears to be good with it, I replaced the nose cone seal just to be safe but that's all I have done. When I removed the nose cone I took a good look down into the gears and everything looked perfect! Full seal kit and VW conversion info binder are included.

Volvo's research proves car design invokes basic human emotions
Thu, 28 Nov 2013Car design and human emotion are inexorably linked, according to new research from Volvo. The experiment, conducted in collaboration with Electroencephalographic (EEG) specialists Myndplay, tested respondents to analyse how the brain reacts emotionally to car design amongst other things. Participants were asked to rate a series of images whilst wearing an EEG headset that measured brainwave activity.
Porsche 911 buyers flock to rare 24-month leases
Mon, 28 Mar 2011Porsche is pushing 24-month leases for its 911 and is running a six-month lease pull-ahead incentive on all of its sports cars to offset a shortage of low-mileage used cars. This year, 22 percent of all 911 lessees have taken 24-month contracts rather than 36-month deals, says Michael Bartsch, COO of Porsche Cars North America. That compares with 10 percent before the push.
