This is a left side pillar pad removed from a 1972 Porsche 914, 1.7L. Good shape, no cracks. There is a cut at the very top from the latch scraping across it, & there is some surface rust on the backside. There is a small imperfection in the vinyl (see last photo) Not overly noticeable when on the car.

  • Shipping, I ship the cheapest way possible, USPS parcel post, or first class mail. If you want this faster, or would like to gaurantee it against loss or damage, let me know at auctions end, so I can adjust the shipping price accordingly. I try to charge for shipping what I am charged, I do not "bend people over" on shipping. If shipping seems high, please contact me as sometimes I make mistakes. Please note, I live in Michigan;  large, long or heavy parts are not cheap to ship to the west coast.
  • International bidders; you are welcome, & I ship first class when possible. I can ship priority, just let me know at auctions end so I can adjust shipping rate. Some items are too large to ship oversees, so please contact me before bidding to make sure I can ship your item. Also, once this package leaves the country, there is a chance I can no longer track your package (depending on the country you live in) I can not be responsible for missing packages to overseas countries.
  • These are used parts: I try to describe in detail everything I see. Sometimes I may miss something on a 40 year old part. I will work with you on any problems you have. PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT ME SCREAMING LIKE THIS WITH CAPITAL LETTERS! You will be helped out every way possible, but screaming or being a complete jerk will also get you added to my blocked bidder list. (life is too short, I don't need your business) :)
  • I have several 914's on the premises & part them out as I get time. If there is something you are looking for, let me know, & I will try to help you. It usually takes me a few days to return emails, so please be patient.
  • Combined shipping; yes I will combine shipping to save you money, but some large packages can not be combined.

One Lap of the Web: Senna's sweet go-kart

Fri, 16 May 2014

-- Gran Turismo has always included some, uh, unique car choices for its video games. (Sure, the Patent-Motorwagen is significant, but hot-lapping the 1-hp horseless carriage in "Gran Turismo 4" wasn't exactly riveting, unless you used cheats.) So that's why Ayrton Senna's go-kart from the 1978 World Karting Championship should be interesting -- it's nowhere near as fast as his Lotus 97T, but it shows that "Gran Turismo" wasn't kidding when developers said they wanted fans to chart the entirety of Senna's life. Plus, if you make it go 352 mph you can finally stick it to Prost.
