Porsche 914 OEM Left rear Tailight lens assembly

This is not perfect, but better than a heavily weathered or cracked one, so the price will start low.  some flaws, the lens has some faint sun cracks in the signal area of the lens (typical).  The housing reflector was aged, so I experimented by using chrome vinyl wrap inside the housing, the result is beautiful bright lights!  There is one small crack in the corner of the housing which does not effect anything and not visible when mounted.  I do not have the yellowish round knobs to secure the lens, and if you do not either, a metric machine nut holds them fine.

If you are looking for a matching pair, I am working on the Right-side housing this weekend which needs some work, so likewise it will be Bright and affordable! ..... So long as you do not mind glued/resealed units.  This started off as an experiment on using the chrome vinyl to brighten them up before I do it to my daily driver.

I have other 914 related items posted and will be adding more as the weeks go on when I have time to take pics, etc. Please click on the "See other items" in the upper right corner of this auction next to my 100% seller rating. Please see my Buyer's comments, I test everything I post here before posting them.  I am not a business, just an enthusiast that sells the parts I don't need/use when restoring my own cars.

If you happen to be in the Pacific Northwest area and need sheet metal sections,  I have a donor chassis that can be cut to order.  Send me a message of any areas you want cut-out and I can send you a quote, then post it here on Ebay.  The battery box on right side suspension console is already gone.

Ford Model A New York-to-LA record attempt ends in breakdown

Wed, 16 Oct 2013

The New York-to-LA 60-hour record attempt in a 1930 Ford Model A came to an end just outside of Amarillo, Tex., on Tuesday afternoon. After having covered more than 1,700 miles with little incident, aside from an overheating issue in Zanesville, Ohio, that ate up several hours, the car driven by Australians Rod Wade and Michael Flanders suffered a broken crankshaft. The duo planned to set a new record for a pre-war car by driving in their 1930 Ford Model A, nicknamed "Tudor Rose," across the U.S.
