Hamilton wins in Hungary

Hamilton takes McLaren's firts win of the season at the Hungaroring Hamilton passed Red Bull’s Mark Webber early in the race, and found himself at the front of the pack when Alonso retired after a botched wheel change saw him lose his front wheel. McLaren MP4-12C GT3 racer (2011): first pictures

McLaren has announced it will be building a GT racing car, based on the McLaren MP4-12C, with Leicestershire-based racing team CRS Racing. The two companies will supply and support a limited number of GT3 racing cars based for European-based privateers in 2012. A development programme will come first in 2011, with a limited number of European GT races.

Which perhaps explains why Citroen’s facelift of the DS3 really amounts to not much more than some new posh headlights and some technology and engine updates. The headline news is the new lighting on the DS3 (although only the DSport gets it as standard) with xenon units with an LED lighting element which, say Citroen, use 35 pe3r cent less power on dipped beam and 75 per cent less on main beam, have a 20,000 hour life (20 times that of a standard halogen bulb) and are derived from the lights on the Numero 9 and Wild Rubis Concepts.
