Fiat at the Geneva Motor Show – Abarth Punto EVO

The Abarth Punto EVO - Geneva bound Fiat’s hot Herberts – Abarth – don’t just have the Abarth 500C Convertible to stick on their stand at Geneva, they also have a tweaked and sorted Punto EVO – the Abarth Punto EVO – to get the attention of show-goers. The performance division of Fiat have stuck a bigger turbo on the Punto EVO which ups the output to 165bhp and drops the 0-60mph time to 7.7 seconds. But economy and emissions don’t seem to suffer with the EVO managing 47mpg and emissions of 142g/km.

Lexus LFA Roadster - arriving in 2014 We reported last year that Lexus had given the green light to chop the top of the limited edition LFA and turn it in to a new halo car for Lexus – the Lexus LFA Roadster. But now Automotive News seems to have caught up with our story and are quoting the Lexus LFA Roadster as in the planning at Lexus for 2014.

Ok, so it's only a virtual car for the computer game with which it shares its name, but the BMW Vision Gran Turismo is the result of a project undertaken by the BMW design and engineering departments in Munich. Loosely based around the 2 Series, the car is a neat amalgamation of current BMW design themes and the flamboyance of 1970s touring cars. You don't have to look too hard to see the influence of the CSL Batmobile and fire-spitting E21 320i Turbos.
