Lamborghini Aventador Roadster launches – at Miami Airport

Lamborghini has launched the new Aventador LP700-4 Roadster in the U.S. with an event at Miami International Airport. The new Lamborghini Aventador LP 7004 Roadster was revealed back in December at the Los Angeles Auto Show as the perfect posing car for deep-pocketed residents of warmer climes.

VL Automotive, a Detroit venture backed by former General Motors' vice chairman Bob Lutz, is moving ahead with plans to convert Fisker Karma from hybrid power to Corvette power. Lutz told Automotive News on Thursday that the company has bought 25 unsold Karmas and has settled a dispute with an Asian investor that prevented VL from accessing the codes that operate the Karma's infotainment system. "Without getting those codes, it was close to impossible to get a working car," Lutz said.

While Europe moves onto the fourth generation Opel Corsa, GM do Brasil has used the second series of the B-segment car as basis for the new Chevrolet Prisma. Unveiled at the recent Sao Paulo Auto Show, the small four-door sedan uses the 12-year old platform to compete with the Dacia Logan, which will go on sale in Brazil next year along with a host of rivals from China. The styling is largely derivative, the rear in particular owing to Ford and Honda products.
