2015 Ford Mustang will perch atop Empire State Building

Tue, 25 Mar 2014

Ford is celebrating the Mustang's 50th anniversary in style. In addition to the cross-country tour and sporadic events across the world, Ford will repeat what it did to introduce the Mustang convertible 50 years ago, setting it on top of the Empire State Building during the New York auto show. So, you might guess Ford would use one of those super cranes to get the car up there, but even the best portable units can only go up 50 stories or so; the observation deck at the Empire State Building is on the 86th floor.

Your official BMW i3 photo gallery

Thu, 10 Oct 2013

We've seen it so lightly camouflaged that it may as well be a production version, and we've seen official studio shots, but here's your official production BMW i3 city car in the sheetmetal on the road, inside and out, and plugged into a charger. Try to contain yourselves. To help refresh your memory, the new i3 is the first road-going BMW model to be based around an all-carbon-fiber body.

Peugeot 308 R concept (2013) at Frankfurt motor show

Tue, 27 Aug 2013

The Peugeot 308 R could be the biggest hint yet that Peugeot is getting its mojo back. Carrying the RCZ concept’s styling into production was a good start, and the new 208 GTi is a pleasantly surprising hoot, but for bigger smiles you’ll want this: a 270bhp, carbonfibre-clad hot hatch that’ll give an Audi S3 a fright, and leave a Golf GTI in its tyre tracks. The catch?
