Original Assembly Guide for Porsche Four Cam Carrera Engines.  Was owned by someone named Bill Allen, who made sure there was no confusion by writing his name here and there at the top of some pages of the book.  Something brown was spilled on the bottom edge of the pages which appears throughout the book, and has tattered the bottom edge of some of the pages.

Smells like stale tobacco, and pages have yellowed from age.  Pages are all there, however.  Contains the Assembly Guide, Special Tools section for the four cam engine, and Specs sections.  Covers 1500GS, 1600GS, and 2000GS motors.

This is definitely an original print from June, 1963, printed in Germany.  pictures show depth and clarity you don't see in all of the later factory re-prints you see floating around on Ebay and other places.

188 pages, part # 4804. 20

A good used example of a very rare manual.

A look at BMW future products

BMW and Toyota have agreed to work on a sports car, fuel cells, electric-vehicle components and lightweight materials. The agreement underlined BMW's determination to make its new i electric-vehicle subbrand a success. It has built a special showroom for i vehicles in London and will do the same at its company-owned New York City dealership.

Happiness is a Jaguar XJ6 Coupé, says Michael J. Scott

My first Jaguar experience was with the purchase of an XJ6 Coupe which I bought because I thought it was very elegant.  The 4.2 straight six never failed to impress in the way the car just disappeared over the horizon in plush silence (apart from some wind noise from the door seals) and I loved the drama of opening two petrol caps and pumping in fuel from both sides of the car. After long fast drives to southern Germany I always arrived as fresh as when I started out. The car attracted admiring interest from everyone including little old ladies!

1984 Ford Mustang SVO: American metal, European performance

Mon, 14 Apr 2014

If the 1978 Ford Mustang King Cobra II isn't quite your thing, why not give the 1984 Ford Mustang SVO a try? In the Jan. 3, 1983, issue of Autoweek, we previewed a different take on the pony car -- one that promised "visual subtlety with unsubtle performance." Built on the Fox platform, the Mustang SVO (for "Special Vehicle Operations") wasn't supposed to be a flashy package for the wannabe racer -- it was designed from the ground up to be a balanced road car, "a state-of-the-art performance vehicle for the absolutely no-compromises performance buyer." And when we say "ground up," we mean it.
