Complete Power Antenna System Ready to Install
Brand:Totally Rebuilt with NOS Mast Other Part Number:Excellent Original Switch Manufacturer Part Number:NEW Coaxial Cable Placement on Vehicle:Right, Rear Interchange Part Number:NEW Wiring Harness Surface Finish:Original Antenna Clear Coated

This is an ORIGINAL electric power antenna set-up for a Pontiac GTO or Lemans for the years 1964 1965 1966 1967 1968 or 1969. This particular antenna came out of a 1966 GTO. If you are going to put it into a 64 or 65 GTO, you would have to change the top threaded piece in order to use the factory correct chrome adapter and chrome nut.  If you are putting it into a 66 - 69 GTO, then just add your washer, chrome adapter bezel & nut and you are done.  The chrome mast is NOS.  The outer casing galvanized tube is NOS.  The motor has been completely rebuilt and works strong and fast in both directions. The antenna also comes with a new coaxial cable, new blue & green wire harness, new black  ground wire and the lower stud with nut as shown in the photos. The top flange is not original but has been fabricated to function properly like the original.  The entire antenna was given a couple of coats of clear coat paint so it will not rust and still look original.

When the antenna is in the full down position, the mast sticks out of the quarter panel only 1 inch which allows you to put a car cover on without tearing a hole in it.

This system is totally complete and ready to install and go.  The original switch is very nice with near perfect chrome.  I believe that it is the same switch used in the 1964 and 1965 GTO also.  The knob functions well and returns to neutral as it should but has a little play in the neutral position.

The system was tested multiple times and functions perfectly.

Malaysian Grand Prix Qualifying: Hamilton grabs pole for Mercedes

Sat, 29 Mar 2014

Lewis Hamilton takes pole in Malaysia in heavy rain Lewis Hamilton has secured his second pole position in two outings for Mercedes at the Malaysian Grand Prix – equaling Jim Clark’s record of 33 poles – as rain turned the Sepang track in to a lake. And with drivers quickly going on to full wets – and cars flying off the track as the rain took control of the qualifying sessions – the playing field was levelled, allowing Red Bull’s reigning World Champion, Sebastian Vettel, to almost pip Hamilton to pole, taking second place just 0.055s behind the Brit. Behind Vettel is the winner of the opening Australian Grand Prix, Nico Rosberg, in the second Mercedes, followed by the Ferrari of Fernando Alonso and the Red Bull of new boy Daniel Ricciardo – who was so impressive in Asutrali two weeks ago – taking fifth spot.

Kia Rio (2011) first official pictures

Fri, 11 Feb 2011

Kia is going to be busy at the 2011 Geneva motor show: it will show off the new Rio, as well as the Picanto. These are the first official pictures of the Rio, a smart, very European-looking rival to the Fiesta/Corsa/Polo ancien regime. The new 2011 Kia Rio is bigger in every dimension, apart from height.

Who's Where: Gordon Murray launches own design company

Wed, 11 Jul 2007

Famed Formula One designer Gordon Murray has launched his own design company, with its first project currently underway. But it's not quite what you might expect from someone who's made a name for himself building such aerodynamic performers like the McLaren F1 and Camparo T1 supercars. Murray's new project is to build an economical small car for the masses: one that would be both cheap to buy and to run.
