Here is a Complete Original Power Electric Door Lock system for all 1970 1971 and 1972 GM A-Body Cars like Cutlass, 442, Vista Cruiser, Rallye 350, Buick Skylark or GS, Chevelle, Monte Carlo, Nova, El Camino, GTO, Lemans or Tempest. They are even correct for 1970 1971 1972 1973 1974 1975 and 1976 Camaro, Firebird and Trans Am. The Rounded Corner switches are NEW and are only correct for 1970 GM cars (or older GM cars in the 1960's) which use the rounded corner style switch. The Square Cornered switches are in very nice condition and are correct for 1971 through 1976.  The winning bidder will have his choice of which pair of switches he wants.  Remember, you only get one pair of switches with the auction, not both.  If you choose the rounded switches it will cost you $100 ADDITIONAL on top of the winning price which comes to $650. The NEW wiring harness is made from 14 gauge THHN wire and made with all correct factory GM connectors and plugs.  Your doors already have the 3 dimples telling you exactly where to drill the holes to mount the solenoids.  These solenoids are restored originals and work great and the push rods are included as well as a pair of nice replacement rubber boots as shown.  I am also including a NEW pair of retaining clips that hold the rods to your door latches.  The rubber caps/boots of the solenoids are in excellent shape. All 6 NEW mounting screws are included as shown.

These can even be installed in GM cars in the years 1961 1962 1963 1964 1965 1966 1967 1968 or 1969 which typically used the vacuum style power locks that were always a problem.

I have multiple sets of these power locks in case you need more than just the one set. I even have extra switches or spare solenoids if that is all you need.  Message me and I'll reply promptly.

Rolls Royce RR4 spotted

Tue, 27 Jan 2009

Rolls Royce RR4 (Rolls Royce Ghost?) caught testing before its unveiling at Geneva [ad#ad-1] This is a busy time for testers of upcoming cars in chilly climes. We’ve recently seen the next generation Porsche 911 (998) and Boxster out in the snow, and this time it’s the turn of the new ‘Baby’ Rolls Royce, the RR4. The new Rolls Royce (which is codenamed RR4 internally, but could well be the Rolls Royce Ghost) is based on the underpinnings of the latest BMW 7 series.

Tue, 08 Oct 2013

The annual World Solar Challenge is taking place right now. 38 teams from all round the globe are racing 3,000km (1,864 miles) across Australia using energy from the sun alone. Unfortunately, the planned entry from the UK’s very own Cambridge University isn’t amongst them – because five days before the start the above happened.
