Detroit motor show 2014: CAR’s A-Z guide

This year, the global automotive circus takes over Michigan's motor city from 13 – 16 January 2014, and sees the 'Big Three' automakers of America (Ford, GM and Chevrolet) lock horns with Europe's finest for show-stealing headlines. Mouth-watering debuts at this year's event include the BMW M3 and BMW M4, Corvette Z06, Lexus RC-F, and Mercedes GLA45 AMG. The new Porsche 911 Targa is also thought to be appearing.

Lexus has launched a range of F-Sport accessories for the new Lexus IS Convertible With the Lexus IS Convertible having launched in Japan this week, and the Lexus IS 250C arriving in the UK in July (and the Lexus IS 350C to arrive sometime next year), Lexus are looking for ways to ‘Up-sell’ the range, particularly as it looks like it will totally eclipse the woeful SC430. With prices starting from low £30k, there is no doubt a big push to get people to spec up their cars. Mercedes-Benz launches an iPad app that tours the redesigned CLS

Mercedes-Benz USA has released an iPad app for the redesigned 2012 Mercedes-Benz CLS that allows users to explore the car's interior and exterior and customize a vehicle. The app was created as a tool for dealership sales associates but it's open for consumers to use. It is the first installment in a series of 2012-model-year product apps available free through the Apple Store.
