Cadillac CTS Sport Wagon and SRX (2009): first pictures

Fri, 15 Aug 2008

By Ben Whitworth First Official Pictures 15 August 2008 10:27 Against the backdrop of this year’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in California, Cadillac has pulled the wraps off two bold new models – its CTS Sport Wagon and the CRX crossover. The two cars mark a decade of Cadillac’s distinctive ‘Art and Science’ design theme – and they’re as edgy and creased as you’d expect. It’s the work of Cadillac’s global design director Clay Dean, and we reckon his team has done a pretty good job of incorporating the company’s distinctively edge look and feel with its neatly extended roofline and the way the V-shaped grille is reflected in the wedgy profile of the tailgate.

2015 Corvette Stingray will get an eight-speed automatic transmission

Tue, 08 Apr 2014

2015 Corvette Stingray buyers will have a new transmission option when they head to dealer lots next year: An eight-speed automatic that will supposedly weight less than the six-speed it replaces and boasting quicker shift times than the dual-clutch in the Porsche 911. Named the 8L90, this eight-speed will be built in Ohio and will also be found on the upcoming Corvette Z06. If the gearbox is capable of handling the 625 hp put down by that supercharged beast, we're sure it'll take on the regular Stingray's 455 hp without breaking a sweat.

Jaguar F-Type to get high profile dealer handover ceremony this week

Tue, 16 Apr 2013

Now the time is nigh, and the first F-Types will be heading for Jaguar dealers around the UK on Thursday (18th April), but they won’t be going on a fleet of transporters as usual. Instead, Jaguar is making an event out of a normally quite prosaic handover. Jaguar dealers from all round the UK will congregate at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry to find 59 new F-Types arranged in the shape of a giant ‘F’.
