Fashion designers make their mark on Opel/Vauxhall Adams

Vauxhall has joined forces with fashion designers Louise Gray, James Small and Fred Butler by giving them the chance to personalize their own Adam car. Each designer had their own Adam to customize and they set about the task of using it as a canvas to express their own signature style. Gray, whose designs are typically colorful and bold, used foil-printed silk crepe and large sequins to personalize her car; Small's smooth, brightly- painted Adam represents his printed menswear line, while Butler's vibrant geometric design conveys his personal style.

With temperatures soaring across North America, there's no better time to hunker down in an air-conditioned room with your pen, vellum, and markers (or, more realistically, your computer and tablet) and get working on your entries into the GM Interactive Design Competition 2012.  It's only been a month since the official launch of the 2012 GM Interactive Design Competition and we're already seeing strong participation and a very high level of quality for the entries. Toyota says data show drivers stepped on the wrong pedal

Toyota Motor Corp. says data from black boxes it has inspected show that many drivers were pressing on the throttle, not the brake pedal, during unintended-acceleration events. Over the past four month, Toyota has investigated about 2,000 reports of unintended acceleration.
