2015 BMW X4 first drive
Wed, 28 May 2014What Is It? It's as if the X6 made a Mini Me. Just as the oddly proportioned X6 Sport Activity Coupe took the perfectly sporty-looking BMW X5 and made it into the oddly proportioned, goofy-roofed big seller it is, so the X4 adds the goofy roof and unusual proportions to meld the mutant flanks of all 3- and 4-series vehicles into this everlasting whole.
2012 Mercedes A-Class: First Sketch
Tue, 15 Mar 2011Mercedes A-Class - First Sketch This may well be the first sketch of the 2012 Mercedes A-Class, but with the 2012 A-Class likely to surface at the Shanghai Motor Show next month it seems highly likely we’re in for a run of ‘leaked’ information on the new baby Mercedes. The Porsche P1 is lighter, greener and more exclusive than McLaren's new hypercar
Mon, 27 Jan 2014Long before the legendary Porsche 911 -- before, even, the Porsche 356 -- Ferdinand Porsche was tinkering with alternative powertrains and designing road-worthy vehicles. Though it wasn't the first vehicle to bear his name, the “Egger-Lohner electric vehicle, C.2 Phaeton model” was the earliest result of his efforts. Perhaps getting the jump on the modern alpha-numeric craze/plague, it was shortened to a simple “P1.” The P1 (we'll refer to it as the Porsche P1 from here on out to avoid confusion) made its first appearance in Vienna on June 26, 1898, and it didn't last long in the public eye: Before Porsche decided to pull it out and put it on display, it had reportedly been sitting in a warehouse, untouched, since 1902.
