I have a fully rebuilt aluminum Power-glide race transmission. It is a direct drive, first gear only transmission with a TCI "dummy" torque converter. The transmission was fully rebuilt with a new reverse clutch pack, a new pump seal and gasket, a new higher flow filter, and both valve body gaskets are new. After the rebuild it was put on a transmission dyno and it was run in forward and reverse and the pressures were monitored. As shown in the pictures the transmission was ran at 966 rpm and the line pressure was at 155 psi which is a strong pressure for racing. The dyno also tested the function of the new clutch pack so when its in reverse we placed a load of 27% on it which is the equivalent of hauling a loaded trailer and the transmission didn't slip at all.

Ewes Bulletin

CENTRAL LONDON has hit by an unusual traffic jam - accompanied not by the beeping of horns, but the bleating of sheep. Crowds of passers-by flocked to see the unusual spectacle as 20 Suffolk and Texel sheep were herded across London Bridge. The woolly creatures took a trip over the Thames as the Lord Mayor of the City of London exercised his ancient right to drive them across.

Jones, who has worked at Ford Australia's design studio for seven years, will report directly to Max Wolff, a former colleague who moved in January 2011 to become Lincoln's Design Director. The Australian designer was interior design manager for the new Ranger and also worked as lead exterior designer on the FG Falcon Ute.

Electric cars produce MORE CO2 than petrol or diesel cars

Tue, 26 Mar 2013

Rather than offering a low CO2 alternative to the internal combustion engine, it seems electric cars start their life with an extra 40,000 miles worth of CO2 already on the clock. Despite bribes from governments around the world to get car buyers to buy in to electric cars, they’ve been a flop. But that’s not surprising.
