BTE "Top Sportsman" Style overhaul kit for your racing powerglide. This kit is designed to be a freshen up kit for your high end racing glide, but it works equally as well for assembling a new transmission.

It comes with the following components:

1 Extra Wide Kevlar Lined Band

10 Alto Red Eagle .060" High Performance frictions for high gear (aftermarket drum required to fit all 10)

10 .060 High Gear Steel Plates

5 Alto .098" High Performance reverse frictions

5 .070 Reverse Steel Plates

2 Metal Servo Rings for Dual Ring servo pistons

2 Teflon Sealing rings for front pump

2 Teflon Sealing rings for input shaft

1 Large Screen Filter

1 Complete 7-piece bushing set (pump bushing, drum bushing, case bushing, governor support bushing, planetary bushing, tailhousing bushing and "wedding band")

1 Front Seal

1 Rear Seal

1 Complete gasket set with Farpak (black composite) pan gasket

You can only fit up to 8 frictions and steels in an OEM drum. In order to use all 10 frictions and steels, you will need an aftermarket drum and extra-tall clutch hub

More than 40 years later, that's an honor Bortz wears with pride, but it speaks to only a part of his collection of machinery. Bortz's car-collecting passion began with a 1928 Chevrolet Landau coupe.

The Peugeot 508 caught in Madrid We first reported that Peugeot were planning on dumping the 407 and 607 and replacing them with a car pitched somewhere in between – the Peugeot 508 – back in November. Which makes sense. The big French cars never sell anywhere other than France and the 407 needs to go a bit more upmarket to keep up with the competition.

German car collector re-imagines Lancia Stratos

If German car collector and Lancia Stratos fan Michael Stoschek gets his way, there will be a new interpretation of the legendary Stratos rally car sooner rather than later. Speculation and spy photos have been circulating for a couple weeks, and now we have official photos. Italian design house Pininfarina did the prototype, which Stoschek originally had done for his personal use.
