TRAINING PROGRAM BOOKLET

Dated April 1967, this is the training booklet intended for the mechanics to refer to with the powerglide, or “power-slide” as it was sometimes called! I’ve taken a photo of it contents for your review. Its 55 pages long and full of illustrations, drawings, specifications and pictures.

Covering most every aspect the 2-speed trans used in millions of Chevrolet products, some of the topics are converters, hydraulics, mechanical components, power flow, oil circuits, pressure charts, vacuum modulator, governors, shift points and much, much more.

This one, along with all my others came from their South Jersey School in Moorestown, NJ. They only went to GM Dealers or the GM Instructional Schools and were not available to the general public. The flawless original has been sitting with other publications in a large box from GENERAL MOTORS, Flint, Michigan addressed to the school where the previous instructor taught from the late 50’s till it closed in late 90’s. It is a professional reprint of the original.

Please see my 2800+ positive feedbacks regarding these booklets. I ship quick, in triple envelopes and like most comments indicate, these are rare and the highest quality I can achieve. Thanks.

Toyota recalls the Lexus GX 460 SUV to upgrade stability software

Mon, 19 Apr 2010

Toyota on Monday said it is recalling about 9,400 copies of the 2010 Lexus GX 460 to update the stability-control software--just one week after Consumer Reports magazine warned that the vehicle was prone to oversteer in turns and urged its subscribers not to buy the vehicle. It's the latest in a series of gaffes that have damaged Toyota's reputation for high quality and led the automaker to recall millions of vehicles to fix problems such as sticking gas pedals. "Toyota's objective is to provide a high level of safety and quality, while meeting or surpassing governmental regulations," said Steve St.

Study: More likely to date millionaire than crash car

Mon, 15 Apr 2013

You are less likely to be in a car accident on a 1,000-mile trip than you are to date a millionaire. Seem unbelievable? Esurance says it's true in an infographic it published recently that compares the odds of common driving mishaps, such as getting pulled over, to flipping a coin or pulling an ace out of a shuffled deck of cards.
